Sri Lanka Port Management and Consultancy Services Private Limited is a limited liability company incorporated and domiciled in Sri Lanka with the participation and contribution of key players in the Port and Shipping Industry of Sri Lanka.
Those are Sri Lanka Ports Authority (SLPA), Ceylon Shipping Corporation, Colombo Dock Yard PLC, Ceylon Association of Shipping Agents (CASA) and Ceylon Shipping Lines Ltd. However, the majority of the shares (55%) are owned by the Government of Sri Lanka through Sri Lanka Ports Authority (40% stake) and Ceylon Shipping Corporation (15% stake).
The Company has been formed in 1982 with the guidance of then Honorable Minister of Trade & Shipping, Mr. Lalith Athulathmudali with the intension of providing every Port related other service in the Port of Colombo to enable SLPA to focus on its main business. Further, Company undertakes to provide any service to provide the SLPA upon request.
